9 steps to developing self belief

If you want to become something but you have doubts about your abilities to do that thing, please do the following:



  1. Look for people that are already what you want to become

  2. Watch their videos/read their books/attend their programs. There was a time when I used to listen to selected speakers for 10mins daily. I wasn't doing this for what they were saying but because I needed to learn the mannerisms, appearance & composure of public speakers.

  3. Be deliberate about what enters through your eyes and ears. Only listen to stories of people who succeeded in doing what you want to do. Put their picture in your mind.

  4. Spend more time with people/communities that believe in you or foster the results you want to achieve.

  5. Make use of confessions/affirmations. Ever since I started using confessions in 2020, my life has turned around and will never go back to what it used to be.

  6. Apply positive self-talk

  7. Practice gratitude

  8. Focus on your strengths more than your flaws.

  9. Believe in yourself even when you don't look like the vision you've seen.
