Do this if you want to feel better about yourself

Updated: Jan 4, 2025

A while ago, I figured that I become motivated and energized whenever I 'think positive thoughts'. So I decided to put it into practice when I was feeling demotivated about a matter. Few minutes after thinking and saying positive words, I started feeling grateful for the thing I was previously disinterested in.

As a result, it dawned on me that THOUGHTS=FEELINGS=BELIEFS=ACTIONS.

If you feel negative about something, for example, you feel you're not a good enough mum and you want to change it, you need to intentionally switch to positive thoughts about your parenting skills. This will help you feel better and eventually lead to positive and confident actions on your part.

Another thing you could do to feel better about yourself and promote your self-worth is to get into the habit of giving yourself treats. Once in a while buy that expensive item, deliberately do the unusual. These things will help you reprogram your mind that you're deserving of good things and help you maintain a healthy relationship with yourself.

Why I am saying these things?

Because some of us respect other people but not ourselves. When you're always putting yourself down with words like 'I'm not that smart', or 'I'm a boring person', you certainly won't feel good about yourself.

However, if your practice those two points, I've highlighted above, you'll begin to love yourself more.
