Let go

Updated: Jan 4, 2025

Have you ever struggled with saying goodbye to someone or something? If yes, then you're not alone.

This was me last week. The phone case that I had been using since 2019 was really worn out, so I ordered a new one recently. But when the new one came, guess what I did? .....

I kept the old one in my drawer as a backup. I thought to myself 'if this one gets bad or is no longer reliable, I'd bring the old one out'.

You see, this is how many of us are still holding on to things that we should have left a long time ago. Maybe you're in a new season, but you don't seem to be enjoying where you are because you're still clinging to the items, places, people or experiences that provided so much comfort for you in the past. For those in romantic relationships, sometimes, you keep your ex's around hoping that if your current relationship fails, you'd fall back to them.

My dear, you need to let go, so that you can immerse yourself in the experiences of the present. Trust me, the present has so much promise than the past. I want you to run with this principle of life, which I strongly believe in: there will always be better. There will always be better opportunities, more loving people, better network providers & better partners. All you need is to change your perspective and you'll begin to see that where you're is better than where you used to be. So, allow yourself to enjoy the NOW.

This doesn't mean you should ditch people and purposely discard things. Rather understand that when the life cycle of a thing has come to an end, you need to let it go. It's when you let it go, that the 'better' has an opportunity to prove itself to you.

So, as I write this concluding paragraph.. I'm letting my old phone case go.. I hope you do the same

Our latter days are way greater than our former days. I use to struggle with this too. Until knowledge hit me and I began to grow in it. Now it's give one last look and let go. Blessing can not cleave if we do not live.

Amazing. Indeed blessing can not come, if we don't leave somethings behind
